Bank Mandiri Concerns about EducationThe Executive Vice President-Coordinator Head of Internal Audit Group PT Bank Mandiri Riyani T Bondan revealed that nowadays the business world claimed that the quality of fresh graduate is still inadequate to enter the business world. However, the educational world claimed that these issues are not their own responsibility, but also business world responsibility. The business world should be able to assure that the education process must be in line with the business corporation needs.

Riyani said on Tuesday (2/12) at the Auditorium of BRI at MSi Building of UGM that A lot of other Corporate Social Responsibility program focuses only on environment issues, poverty eradication issues, etc, but the Mandiri Bank is pretty serious in their role in the educational field.

In the General Lecture entitled “The Role and Function of Internal Audit: The Application in Mandiri Bank”, Riyani explained that the CSR program in educational field can be separated in several activities, such as infrastructure, system, technology, educational tools-supporting activities.

Therefore Mandiri Bank expected their contribution can be shared equally from basic education to higher education, therefore Mandiri chose UGM as their partner. Moreover, UGM is one of the Mandiri’s biggest customers and also one of the biggest universities in Indonesia.

wow… it’s a very good news… i don’t know it’ve happened !!! go UGM… my lovely university… mandiri bank and ugm is the best !!!

water is very important for us

everyday, we use water. for drinking, for cooking, for taking a bath, for washing  our hands, and many more…i try to find some information about the useful of water… searching searchin searching…. them i found a good article…  you can visit it or just read a little information  in here :

 source : http://www.freedrinkingwater.com/water-education/water-health.htm

Water makes up more than two thirds of the weight of the human body, and without it, humans would die in a few days. The human brain is made up of 95% water, blood is 82% and lungs 90%. A mere 2% drop in our body’s water supply can trigger signs of dehydration: fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on smaller print, such as a computer screen. (Are you having trouble reading this? Drink up!) Mild dehydration is also one of the most common causes of daytime fatigue. An estimated seventy-five percent of Americans have mild, chronic dehydration. Pretty scary statistic for a developed country, where water is readily available through the tap or bottle.

Water is important to the mechanics of the human body. The body cannot work without it, just as a car cannot run without gas and oil. In fact, all the cell and organ functions made up in our entire anatomy and physiology depend on water for their functioning.

  • Water serves as a lubricant
  • Water forms the base for saliva
  • Water forms the fluids that surround the joints.
  • Water regulates the body temperature, as the cooling and heating is distributed through perspiration.
  • Water helps to alleviate constipation by moving food through the intestinal tract and thereby eliminating waste- the best detox agent.
  • Regulates metabolism

In addition to the daily maintenance of our bodies, water also plays a key role in the prevention of disease. Drinking eight glasses of water daily can decrease the risk of colon cancer by 45%, bladder cancer by 50% and it can potentially even reduce the risk of breast cancer. And those are just a few examples! As you follow other links on our website, you can read more in depth about how water can aid in the prevention and cure of many types of diseases, ailments and disorders that affect the many systems of our bodies.

Since water is such an important component to our physiology, it would make sense that the quality of the water should be just as important as the quantity. Drinking water should always be clean and free of contaminants to ensure proper health and wellness.

Cinnamon

i don’t know cinnamon… so i try to find it… and then… wow… it’s very useful !!! cinnamon…cinnamon…cinnamon…

Recent Studies on Cinnamon :

More modern, scientific studies have also shown the health benefits of cinnamon. One of the first studies on humans observed sixty people with type 2 diabetes for forty days. Each of the participants in the study took one, three, or six grams of cinnamon per day. This was given to them in pill form, although it is equivalent to one quarter to one teaspoon of cinnamon. The results, published in Diabetes Care (a medical journal), demonstrate that all three amounts had a beneficial effect on the blood sugar as well as cholesterol levels of the patients.

  • Total cholesterol was reduced by 12 to 26 percent
  • LDL cholesterol was reduced by 7 to 27 percent
  • Triglycerides were reduced by 23 to 30 percent
  • Fasting blood glucose was reduced by 18 to 29 percent

These studies, and others done since suggest that cinnamon has a regulatory effect on blood sugar.
